Long Skirt and Sweater Set

Barbie will look relaxed but put together in this easy to set.This sweater is knit using #5 and #3 dbl-pointed needles, small amount of WoolEase yarn(sports yarn works well) and the Basic Tiny Raglan pattern.The biggest change I made to the pattern was to cast on 20 stiches instead of 24 st because a seed stitch tends to be wider than a stocking st. I then arranged the stitches with 6 st in the front and 6 in the back instead of 8.

Seed Stitch Pattern Knitted flat,even number of stitches
Row 1: knit 1,purl 1 across.
Row 2: purl each knit stitchand knit each purl stitch. I had to fudge the seam stitches a little. after the sleeves are bound out add 1 st at the end of the first rnd. Work until desired length(about 12 more rows).
Directions Using #3 needles Cast on 20 st.Work 2 rows in 2 seed stitch. There are a total of 4 increase rows. The increases are worked raglan style, giving 4 seams lines. You will be increasing one stitch on either side of the seam. This will give you a total of an increase of 8 stitches each increase row.

• First increase round:work 3 stitches*inc 1, place marker, knit 1, inc 1* work 2 stitches, **, work 6 stitches, **,work 2 stitches,**,work 3 stitches(Back).
• Wrong Side Rows Work in seed stitch, except purl first before marker.
• The 2-4 increase row:Continue in the manner,
• Work one row even
• Divide for Sleeve Next Row: Knit across Back. slip 1 inc stitch and sleeve to holder.Work across front, slip other sleeve to holder. Knit across back and work second sleeve as first. Removing marker as you go.
• Work remaining stitches until total length is 4 inches. Work 2 rows in k1,P1 ribbing and bind off

Then work sleeves as follows:
Knit in pattern for 1O rows.
Decrease 1 st at beginning end of next row.
Work 1 WS row, Work another dec row
Work 2 rows, bind off Sew up sleeve seams
