A Dress for Kelly

Kelly's blue dress I knit a dress for Barbie and daughter asked if I could make something for Kelly. Try as I might, no one seems to have any patterns for that minscule little tot so I made up one on my own. Nothing too fancy for now but more is coming!

MaterialsSport yarn, less than .5 oz; dbl pointed needles, size 0 or 1; small crochet hook.

CO 32. Being careful not to twist connect and K1, P1 ribbing for 3 rows.
Knit 4 rounds.
Dec Round*K2, K2tog* (24 st)
Knit 4 rounds
Dec Round*K1, K2tog* (18 st)
Knit 1 round
Bodice: Knit 9, cast off remaining st so 9 remain. Knitting is flat now.
Row 1( and all odd rows): purl
Row2:K1, SSK,K3,K2tog,K1(7 st)
Row4:K1, SSK,K3,K2tog,K1(5 st)
Row 6:Bind off but follow the same pattern of the other rows for a smother look.

To make ties, connect yarn to one side of bodice, chain 20 st. end. do the same on the other side.

And that's it - Kelly has a new dress!
