Skirt The skirt is fitted and midcalf. It has a crochet hem and a ribbed waistline that needs no bottons or snaps.
Cast on 34 stitches. StSt for 2 inches ending on a wrong side row.

Finishing:Sew up seam. To keep hem from rolling, use crochet hook to sc in each st around hem, connect to first st. Purse: The body was just a small rectangle made of 3yds of novelty yarn I found one sampler set fibers for scrapbooks. Any yarn will do. My dims were about 1/2 in by 2 1/2 in. I folded it up leaving a flap.
To make the bead handle string all needed beads(+ a few extras for luck) on the yarn before starting the next step.To check number, just use yarn as handle and it beads fill length you have enough. Y ou make it any length you like. Extra hint: If you are having trouble getting the beads on, use clear nailpolish at the end of the yarn, twist it tight to a point squeezing out all excess polish. It will dryng very quickly.
Start at the bottom of the bag and single crochet up the side. When you reach the flap change to chain to create the handle.Slide a bead down and chain stich around it until handle is desired length. Then reconnect to other side of bag, sc seam and finish off. Sew a bead to front of bag to use as button.
